Karen, My visit to your farm was wonderful. Even though we had to "tramp through the mud" I have never seen such spectacular animals! You take such great care of your animals that it is obvious why they are such willing participants in their training. They love their life! Stallions with such freedom of environment, but with easilby controlled handling is unheard of today. You are running the stud farm that was expected to be many years age and is just a pipe dream today. Stallions that actually handle and perform seem to be a thing of the past, except for your farm. It's wonderful to see a breeding stallion that has not been "worked down" have a child come into his stall and be safe! Not only safe, but welcomed by the stallion. Your stallions actually like the attention paid by the child. (A lowered nose to get that extra pat.) I have stopped int your farm several times, and the stallions are always the same...docile, loving the attention of a child and willing to work. Thank you for letting me see and breed to that wonderful disposition. The top notch athletic ability is aparently just the icing on the cake. Lori

Karen, Thank you for the info on your lovely pony that was near me in California. She is everything I had hoped for. My daughter loves her, and is working toward going for the AA's this year. It's good to find an east coast talent available on the west coast. Thanks again, Sherrie

Just happened to see your web site. My family owned Spectacular Round and bred Mahena and Abby(both of which Lynette Coller had up in Montana). He ALWAYS sired great movers no matter what the mare was like. I have a 1990 mare by him who looks quite a bit like your advertised grey mare. She won a lot in the A/A hunters in Ca. and visits our place in Montana with us in the summer. We also have a 17 hd rose gray gelding (9 yrs old) by Spectacular Round with a friend in Northern Calif. He only gets to the shows occasionally but does quite well. Another wonderful mover!

Just found your website while investigating the pedigree of my stallion, Chicaro Challenge. He is out of Chicaro Bill and Depth Charge. He's 22 with a Race ROM, and I have just now considered breeding him. Any thoughts on how to proceed? I'm a small-time horse owner with little knowledge of the breeding business.

Karen, I just wanted to thank you for the help and professionalism with which you handled the sale of my pony. I also want to tell you how absolutly pleased we are with the wonderful mare we just purchased from you. You were absolutely right! This fine girl is everything we had hoped for! We had never owned a mare, but are finding it the most rewarding experience of our horse and pony owning days! She is wonderful! Thanks again for all of your help and guidance. Tracy and the Gang.

I am a first time horse owner in my fifties. The horse that I currently own is a Palomino, Quarter horse, named Golden Wind Bars. He is 35yrs.old and except for some arthritis in is hock, which I am currently treating him for, is in good condition. This horse,on the mare's side, comes from foundation stock ie, Topsy, Joe Moore, his dam was a horse named Miss Ott Bars, and he is the great grandson of Three Bars. His sire was a Palomino Quarter horse but that is all I know about the sire. After owning this horse for 5yrs. I have come to realize the importance of good breeding and I am interested in obtaining information on farms that have horses for sale for trail riding, that come from foundation stock. I am not currently interested in buying a horse but due to my horse's age, I am starting to look to the farms that would sell the type of horse that I would be interested in buying. The price range that I would be able to spend would be in the $5,000 to $6,000 range. Do you ever have any good trail horses for sale in that price range? Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Diana

You found the perfect rider/pony match. It's refreshing to do business with someone who still cares about their customers.

Hello, Thank you Karen for having me out to visit your farm. I enjoyed seeing your horses. It is pretty amazing to see stallions on pasture and be able to walk up to them and pet them. I never knew stallions could have such wonderful dispositions. Your horses are so people friendly. I really like that. Your knowledge of horses never ceases to amaze me. Your stock is built tough and they are beautiful. That is a winning combination that will last a LONG time. Happy birthday to Atahi who is 30 this year! I love you Atahi! Chris

I am so thrilled to have found your web site. We "rescued" a 16 mo old bay tobiano colt from upstate NY (I literally bought him off the web) and had him vetted and shipped to me without ever laying a hand on him. I have been researching his background and I am thrilled to find that he is the son of KG Heartstealer, a stud you bred and raised. After arriving wormy and malnutritioned, he has spent the last 18 mo evolving into the most impressive young man. Because of his condition, he was not gelded until last Oct. but his amazing temperament allowed my 11 yr old daughter to train him to tie, clip, bathe, blanket (with closed front blankets), lunge, long line, and has recently been under saddle. She will be showing him in hand to start this year and hopefully walk trot soon. What a wonderful stock and a thrill to find out his background. Keep up the good work at breeding sane/sound ponies and horses that are not only strikingly beautiful, but athletic and easy to work around. Best of luck in the future, and we will keep you posted on MR SMORES progress and accomplishments.

What lovely, correct animals! I have been looking for a fancy large pony hunter for my daughter. Karen, Wanted to let you know that the mare we bred last year had a beautiful Paint colored filly! She is SPECTACULAR! She is the most correct, sweetest thing we have ever raised. Thank you for having such an excellent array of talented, great moving stallions to offer to the horse world! Any one of them would have been an asset to any serious breeders program. Pleas tell 'Phantom' he has a fabulous new daughter! I'll send pictures soon. Dale
